Minimum Qualification for a Preschool Teacher is Diploma

 
 
 
 

Beginning from year 2020, the minimum qualification for a preschool teacher is a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Therefore, any teachers that have more than 2 years teaching experience with the age of 21 years and above are encouraged to register this Diploma that have obtained accreditation from Malaysia Qualification Agency, MQA, and approved by the Ministry of Education, MOE.

Upon graduation, you can use this Diploma to apply for a Teaching Permit and being recognised as a Professional Teacher. You can teach at private and also government kindergarten.
